Have you ever felt far from God? Or have tried praying after a long time and feel like you are just talking to yourself? Well girl, I’ve been there too. And let me tell you.. it’s one sided.

When you feel far from God, it’s usually one of two things. 1.)Not spending enough time in prayer. 2.)Not spending enough time in the word. Or, both. Me personally? Guilty of all of the above. Now, when you are in a season of what I like to call spiritual rut, the most important thing you can do is run into our Father’s arms. He is always waiting for us to come back and comfort us in our seasons of distraught.

James 4:8 (ESV) says “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” Our feelings of loneliness from God are only through our own doing. He will never leave our side and He is always waiting for us to come back. God desires a relationship with us!

I know it can be scary, especially depending on the amount of time that has passed, but it is so worth it when you come back to God. His love is so good and just overwhelms me with joy. He loves you so much and is waiting for you. In Jesus holy name, Amen ❤
